Short Description:

BVA 2 is highly refined oil used for the control of mosquito pupicide. When applied evenly over the water surface it rapidly interrupts the air water interface and suffocates the larvae. This quick action makes it an effective larvicide and pupicide for any program.

Mode of Action:

When applied correctly BVA 2 produces a film of oil on top of the water surface that inhibits the mosquito larvae from obtaining oxygen (breathing) resulting in their rapid suffocation.

Where/When to use:

Use BVA 2 when mosquito larvae and pupae are present in these areas: swamps, marshes, flood water areas, drainage areas, waste treatment, settling ponds, ditches, and other manmade depressions that hold water. BVA 2 provides a short residual period of 1 to 3 days.
