MALATHION 5EC is a water emulsifiable spray concentrate
insecticide and miticide.

Mode of Action:
MALATHION is a cholinesterase inhibitor, but it requires
activation by conversion to its oxygen analog, malaoxon. Insects and
mammals both possess an enzyme which allows the conversion of
malathion into malaoxon. However, humans and other mammals possess a
second enzyme which rapidly metabolizes malathion and malaoxon into
non-active diacids. Insects do not possess this second enzyme.
Where/When to use:
MALATHION 5EC is a residual spray for stored product pest and
outdoor fly and mosquito control. It can be used for spraying crops,
pastures, outdoor ornamentals, crops, pasture and range grass and
grass hay.
