Central Life Sciences Announces EPA Approval of Zenivex^TM E-20 For Control of Adult Mosquito Populations
Product's active ingredient offers vector market a new and highly efficacious solution with rapid knockdown

Central Life Sciences, whose founders invented insect growth regulator technology more than 30 years ago, announced that it has received Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration approval for Zenivex^TM E-20 to control adult mosquito populations.

The active ingredient in Zenivex^TM E-20, Etofenprox, is highly efficacious and is classified as a reduced risk molecule by the EPA. It has a low toxicity profile for mammals and birds, and its dried residues are not harmful to bee populations. In addition, Zenivex^TM E-20 does not contain Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO), and the oil-based formulation can be used in both aerial and ground applications, neat and diluted.

He continued, "Zenivex^TM E-20 represents a new active ingredient for controlling mosquitoes in a variety of habitats, and while it has a similar mode of action as traditional pyrethroids, Etofenprox has a very favorable environmental and toxicological profile, leading to a reduced risk classification by the EPA."

Zenivex^TM E-20 will be commercially available in the first quarter, 2009, and will be distributed by ADAPCO nationwide.
